Carson City Housing Market: Prices Up, Days on Market Growing
The median sale price for homes in Carson City reached $520,990 in September 2025—up 0.9% year‑over‑year.
While the increase in price might sound modest, the number of days homes stay on the market has shot up to 62 days, a significant jump compared to last year.
What this means:
Housing remains expensive and out of reach for many working families.
Slower sales mean buyers and policy‑makers have a chance to rethink how we build, reuse, and support housing in our community.

Carson City has seen a notable drop in roadway deaths during the first four months of 2025, with only one fatal crash compared to three during the same period in 2024—a 66.7% decrease.
