What I stand for.
Housing: A Right, Not a Privilege
In Carson City, housing isn’t just a market—it's a lifeline. I believe every family deserves access to safe, stable, and affordable housing. Our neighborhoods should reflect the people who live and work here, not price them out.
My commitment:
- Support policies that increase affordable and workforce housing options.
- Incentivize adaptive reuse of vacant or underused buildings for mixed-income housing.
- Partner with local developers, nonprofits, and state agencies to make housing solutions both innovative and inclusive.
- Promote tenant protections and transparent zoning practices that center community input.
I will champion creative solutions rooted in the realities our families face—and shaped by those most impacted.
Governance
Our government should reflect us—all of us. That means being accessible, transparent, and willing to listen before acting. I'm committed to making Carson City work for everyday people, not just insiders.
My commitment:
- Increase civic engagement by creating more opportunities for residents to give input before decisions are made—not after.
- Ensure budget transparency and thoughtful oversight of taxpayer dollars.
- Embrace modern tools and technology (like participatory budgeting and community dashboards) to rebuild trust and accountability.
- Advocate for local government to operate with humility, heart, and honesty.
I’m not here to be a politician—I’m here to be a bridge. A neighbor. A public servant with both sleeves rolled up.
Public Safety
In Carson City, feeling safe in your neighborhood isn’t a luxury—it’s a basic need. Whether it’s walking your kids to school, calling for help, or knowing your neighbor will be treated fairly, public safety should work for everyone.
I believe safety is built when communities are supported, when first responders are resourced, and when trust is earned—not assumed.
My commitment:
- Support investments in mental health crisis response and community-based alternatives that ease the burden on law enforcement.
- Advocate for fair wages, staffing, and training support for our firefighters, police officers, and emergency services.
- Promote cross-agency collaboration and community partnerships that prevent violence before it starts.
- Expand access to youth programs, safe public spaces, and services that reduce risk and build resilience.
- Ensure transparency and accountability are central to how we keep Carson City safe—for every resident.
Public safety is a shared responsibility—and it works best when we lead with care, compassion, and a commitment to justice.
